June 28, 2011: sometimes we drink at the farm

sometimes life is great and i ride my bike to pick up my farm share and there are little kids running through the leaves and neighbors enjoying wine and talking. and life couldn't be nicer.

one heck of a rain storm

i just spent the past 15 minutes uploading this video of the rain. so i hope you like it.

this was a crazy downpour that happened 2 or 3 tuesdays ago. maybe june 14.

washed out album art

i love the look of this album art from washed out's latest, especially if what the designer meant was for it to look like a perfume ad in a glossy fashion mag. i don't think it's particularly saying anything big and important, but i do think it's a really interesting idea.

do you love it?

i like the song, too, but for me it doesn't really compare to their last single, feel it all around. not at all. a smidgen.

How magnificent is this sunset, though? The sky really looked like this. And the clouds looked just like a sandbar. (Most obvious in the last picture)

we went to a really cute and sweet wedding this weekend on an inlet in brick, nj. i absolutely loved the bright-colored flowers, the giant papier mache piggy bank, the chalkboard menu, and the kumquats – even the drizzly weather was perfect!
