paris record shopping

i have more things to post from our europe trip, and this is one of them. these are some fun/brightly designed 45s i picked up in paris. i loved the pops of color and the typography on these... and the songs turned out to also be awesome.

design project: fake biz cards

recently i've been inspired by a certain hilarious friend to make "fake business cards" that are just for jokes. i think these would be perfect to hand out to people you don't want to talk to at a bar, don't you?

small business logo + business cards

I recently wrapped up a big chunk of a design project i've been working on for a few months now – the logo and business card design for a boutique pr firm based in brooklyn. I posted it on my behance portfolio last night and i want to share it here, too...

My client thought about her final logo choice long and hard, after many rounds of changes and new ideas, and she finally chose this last week! She wanted a modern look coupled with a retro color scheme, and a fun design that would still be taken seriously on a professional level. I designed the cards to each feature a different color from the logo on the back so that there are four total versions in a set. Website coming soon!

design project

PART ONE: LOGO DESIGN

Here's the final logo I created recently for SWPR (Stephanie Wolf Public Relations)... next will be business cards and a website!

The logo has two versions of itself – one with the complete company name spelled out, and one cleaner version without that verbiage.

washed out album art

i love the look of this album art from washed out's latest, especially if what the designer meant was for it to look like a perfume ad in a glossy fashion mag. i don't think it's particularly saying anything big and important, but i do think it's a really interesting idea.

do you love it?

i like the song, too, but for me it doesn't really compare to their last single, feel it all around. not at all. a smidgen.

UPDATE:
this was actually in cosmo, and you can read about it on pitchfork (with a link to the actual placement in the mag.) lol
