Street Fashion: Hot Pink + Forest Green

I don't know what it is about hot pink and forest green right now, but I am loving it. Ever since I saw it on Gwyneth Paltrow (who I usually don't care about either way) here:

and was almost uphauled, but then loved what a mismatch it was, I have been in need of this sort of color pairing. Then, I saw this girl on the subway and she had a hot pink indian-print dress with a forest green purse. AHHH! It kills me. Anyway here she is:

Is this actually a trend, or did it just occur twice and no one cared? Obv I think they're onto something.
